If Bacteria Could Talk - A Sci-Art comic strip

The inspiration for this (sci)comic strip came from a module I took this year, all about medical and general microbiology. For my exam, I wrote an essay about the role of the human microbiome in human health and disease, for which I received a first-class grade. I wanted to take this topic further, encompassing current research on the role of gut bacteria in mental health. So, I decided to partner science and art through a comic strip format, enhancing the accessibility of the topic to wider audiences and making the content digestible and relatable.

Thanks for tuning into this post.

Until next time, I've been Scarlett Parr-Reid.
